BiographySam Murphy has been writing and presenting on fitness for more than a decade, becoming one of the UK’s leading experts. She is a passionate runner and, to date, has completed 15 marathons, the Himalayan 100 Mile Race and numerous other events, including a dozen triathlons. Sam is a qualified personal trainer and level 2 UKA running coach, and has helped many people achieve their fitness goals as well as being a tutor for England Athletics.
Her writing appears widely in newspapers and magazines including the Guardian, The Financial Times, Health & Fitness, Slimming World and Easy Living. She also has a monthly column in Runner’s World called ‘Murphy’s Lore’ and is a blogger for the Huffington Post. She has appeared on BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 4 and Radio London talking about topical fitness issues and presented at the Science Museum, The Running Show and the London Marathon.
